REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Please pay attention to the following information.
It is only possible to register via the form, which will lead you to the link in the description of the course - other methods of registration will not be taken into account. In the registration form, it is necessary to fill in the following items: name, surname, date of birth, permanent residence, telephone and email. We need this information for the registration of those staying in the city of Kolín. Next, you indicate the type of room in which you want to be accommodated. There are five places in a single room, ten places in a double room and fifteen places in a triple room. Also let us know if you are going to come by car, parking is possible at the monastery for a limited number of participants. In the notes, you can include a request for a discount for people with low income, students, pensioners. We usually send a response to the application within 5 working days, and you will receive an invoice with a request for payment one to two weeks before the start of the course. Please keep in mind that the application is binding and in the event of your cancellation of participation, you may be subject to cancellation fees according to general conditions.
The courses organized by the Kolin monastery have different focus, level of difficulty and continuity with previous participation in courses.
A level courses
Basic level of difficulty suitable for introduction to individual methods of self-experience, prayer, contemplation, vigilance or meditation.
Level B courses
For these courses, experience with previous courses or one's own meditative or contemplative practice gained through participation in other spiritual exercises, retreat or retreats are appropriate, but not necessary. Courses can be longer, more difficult both physically and mentally.
C Level Courses
These courses build on previous participation in other B-level courses and completion is assumed.
In terms of method, the courses are mainly divided into:
Contemplative- their essence is contemplative prayer or meditation;
Ignatian- their goal is the Ignatian spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola;
Special- courses using film, books, music or psychological means for self-discovery.

Daily silent meditation online
We offer the possibility of daily joint meditation online.
Every day at 8:00 in the morning and 20:00 in the evening for 25 minutes. Meditation takes place in a virtual room via Zoom. A stable Internet connection and a device with a speaker and a camera are therefore required. This offer is intended for experienced exercise participants who are looking for the possibility of regular joint practice. This is not a meditation course, but a space and opportunity to meditate together in silence for those who know what to do with silence.

We invite you to a course that will offer a practical introduction to meditation as a practice of mindful and loving attention.
Vigilant and kind attention can contribute to overall personal development.
The course is also suitable for complete beginners and is open to all students and employees of the UK without
regardless of the relationship to religion. The way of meditation will be based on the Christian tradition, but it will be
draw inspiration from other spiritual directions as well. The course will include theoretical framing and
primarily a practical introduction and common meditation practice. Part of the program will take place in silence.
The course is subsidized from UK funds and other interested parties will be offered a place if students
and CU employees will not completely fill the capacity of the course.

Sadhana combines the tradition of Christian spirituality with Eastern forms of meditation. The course is inspired by the school of prayer of the Indian Jesuit Anthony de Mello. The course will not take place in complete silence, on the contrary, there will occasionally be space for sharing experiences with exercises and practice. At the same time, during the course, we will try to introduce meditation into everyday activities (washing dishes, walks or small chores). The course is very suitable for beginners. Possibility of individual accompaniment on request.

A practical introduction to the Ignatian prayer method (lectio divina, imaginative meditation, exam) with the possibility of individual accompaniment, preferably intended for those with little or no experience and graduates of the Introduction to Prayer course. The course is intended for those who want to get to know the world of exercises, start or deepen their spiritual life.

Course 534 Advent in Silence (2 days), A level
2.12. - 4.12. 2022, Friday 18:00 to Sunday 15:00
Contemplative spiritual exercise with the possibility of individual accompaniment. Anyone who wants to pay full attention to the present moment and God's presence in it is invited. The meeting is intended for both beginners and those who want to deepen their previous experience.
There will be time mainly for silent meditations, for practicing attention in nature and during simple physical work, for practically focused talks and for staying in solitude. The course is based on Jan Šedivý's method.

Course 535 Introduction to prayer (not only) for catechumens (3 days), level A
8.12. - 11.12. 2022, Thursday 18:00 to Sunday 15:00
This course offers a very practical introduction to praying with Scripture. It is especially suitable for those who would like to start (or restart) their spiritual life and do not know how to do it. Emphasis will be placed on the explanation and practical demonstration of prayer with the Scriptures, accompanied meditation, but also accompanied prayer to gain experience with the daily presence of God in our everyday life. The possibility of using spiritual accompaniment is a matter of course.
This course is also suitable as an "introductory" or "familiarization" with the world of exercises, where the participant will gain basic experience to continue in prayer, meditation and other spiritual exercises.

These retreats are especially suitable for those who want to be introduced to contemplative prayer and to deepen their practice. The course takes place in silence, a large part of the program consists of joint contemplative prayer, simple physical work in the monastery and physical exercises are also part of it. The specialty of this term of the course is practical physical exercises that help involve the body in contemplation.

The course between soul and spirit is a combination of spiritual retreats and a psychotherapeutic workshop. Self-awareness is the basis of personal and spiritual development. The goal is the practical use of the acquired information to work on oneself and for further spiritual growth. We use several paths to self-discovery, within the course we focus on proven approaches, especially the Enneagram.

Course 542 Organizing Your Life - Ignatian Exercises, Level B

Intensive Ignatian exercises focused on organizing your life and finding your place in the world in the light of the Gospel. Their goal is to internally experience God's presence in our life, his care for our life and to distinguish some obstacles that prevent us from drawing on the dynamics of life in the Spirit. Completion of previous introductory A-level courses (Introduction to Prayer or Introduction to the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises) is very helpful, but not necessary. Exercises take place in strict silence with individual accompaniment. Part of the offer is also the possibility of daily participation in the Holy Mass. When registering for the course, please mention the motivation for your participation.

Course 551 Easter triduum with meditations and ceremonies in an ecumenical spirit
4/6 - 4/10/2023, Thursday 10:00 to Monday 15:00 (4 days), level B
A joint celebration of Easter inspired by the practice of the ecumenical communities of Grandchamps, Archa and Bose. It starts together on Thursday morning with the preparation of the Lamb feast. Thursday's celebration will include elements of a Seder dinner, the washing of feet and the celebration of the Eucharist. After it, we will enter together into silence, for contemplation, the Way of the Cross, the Passion, and Good Friday ceremonies. On Holy Saturday there will be a vigil and an ecumenical renewal of baptism.
